Retreat from the cold into the humidity of an overgrown conservatory. Tiled floors line your steps as you explore, lifting heavy foliage to discover the wonders of nature left to her own devices...

yarns and colorways:

KnitCrate Knit & Crochet Club

This month we're indulging with Knitologie Wisp, a DK weight yarn made of 100% merino wool. Each 100g skein comes with a generous 236 yards (216 m), and your crate will include two skeins - ample yarn to bring your conservatory-inspired projects to life.

Energize Me: Clay Pot

A constant in every garden, terracotta pots line shelves in haphazard stacks. The brightness of a new addition inspires this happy, fresh color.

Chill Out: Rainfall

A cooling mist and the scent of petrichor; deep purple, night drizzle rejuvenates us for sunny days ahead.

All Natural: Conservatory

A lush retreat: the deepest greens of foliage, beckoning you to touch and tend.

The Patterns in Knit & Crochet Club for April

Knit Pattern

Inspired by the botanical garden in Pennsylvania, the Longwood Garden Tote by Vanessa Ewing is a bubble-shaped felted bag with plenty of room for your current work-in-progress. The leaf ties and twisted handle evoke the calm of a walk in nature.

Crochet Pattern

The Senta Scarf by SEK Handmade draws inspiration from tiled paths among fresh foliage. Choose from a leaf or picot border to adorn the edges of this textured scarf. With multiple styling options, you'll be able to wear it no matter the weather, whether coiled around your neck, draped over your shoulders, or worn as a headband.

Sock Knit & Crochet Club

This month's sock yarn is the delightfully stripey Knitologie Dewie. A mix of 65% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon, and 10% Tencel, this fingering weight yarn will add visual interest to your next pair of socks that will be perfect to wear to the conservatory. You will receive one 100g (4 oz) skein in the color vibe of your choice.

Energize Me and All Natural: Saltillo

Faded tiles bear the marks of wear and limestone at the edges; dappled sunlight plays across their terracotta tone.

Chill Out: Calathea

Tender leaves poke out from under larger branches to explore the sun; this variegated spearmint green is bathed in light.

Knit Pattern

The Ribbon Fern socks by Vanessa Ewing feature bands of slip stitch and garter stitch to mimic the dainty ripples of ribbon fern leaves.  Adorn your feet with the twisting and twining texture of the forest.

Crochet Pattern

Step under the domed glass ceiling of a nature conservatory in the Under Glass Socks by Clarisabeth López Rodriguez Designs. This intricate design features a boxed shell stitch reminiscent of conservatory architecture, supported by a base of linked double crochet.

LL Yarn Co. Quarterly Retreat Club

We've partnered with LL Yarn Co. to bring you a fiber-filled retreat in a box every three months. This quarter's retreat takes us to Cincinnati, Ohio to visit Krohn Conservatory, nestled within tranquil Eden Park. Enjoy three squishy skeins of yarn, a beautiful extra, a specially curated playlist, and snack and drink recipes in this luxurious crate. The Yarn

The serene shades of a nature conservatory play out over the strands of Anderson Ferry in colorway "Flutter." Fluctuating from pale to dark green, with flecks of dark green and streaks of purple sprinkled throughout, this colorway blends together the exquisite colors of nature and the butterfly shows often held in the Krohn Conservatory. This 2-ply DK weight yarn is a luxurious mix of 85/15 85% Superwash Merino Wool and 15% Mulberry Silk. Each skein is 246 yards (225 m)/100g, and your crate comes with three squishy skeins.

The Monet's Garden Shawl by Louis Boria / Brooklyn Boy Knits is a light and airy shawl for springtime.
