Hello Friend, We are writing with a quick update on our yarns and shipments for January through March. The last few months have been quite a whirlwind and a variety of factors has been changing the status of these yarns because they ship to us from outside the US. We will continue to do everything we can to keep you informed along the way. The balance of our January yarn (Haze) is set to finish production at the mill in the first week of March. Once that shipment arrives, we will pack up any outstanding January crates, then fulfill any yarn pre-orders for this yarn. As you know, we made a change to our original plan for our February Membership yarns and swapped it in position with our March yarns (Calm) because we could receive it sooner. To do this, our mill had to alter their production schedule. While we would be able to receive it sooner, the exact date was still up in the air. We have been patiently waiting for this yarn to arrive and were expecting it last week at the latest. The yarn has been ready and waiting at the airport for days but getting it on a flight to Miami has been a struggle. We’ve been informed today that it should arrive at the port by the 26th. After that, it needs to make its way through Customs before we can get it into our warehouse. As soon as that yarn arrives, our team will be packing up the crates first followed by any pre-orders for those. At the moment, the mill’s schedule shows that a portion of our yarns for our March Membership Crate (Romance) is set to finish production early next week while the balance is set to finish production the following week. This means we should be able to ship all March Crates during the month of March - we are dreaming BIG! Quarterly partner crate updates will be sent separately to affected members. We wish we were able to offer concrete dates, but as we’ve learned as we near a year into this pandemic - anything could change at any given moment. Our mills have experienced closures and major setbacks while flight schedules have been drastically reduced, and customs offices continue to be severely understaffed. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that nothing pops up in the meantime to further delay these shipments but please know we will always make announcements like this by email if anything changes. We really, truly appreciate your support during this time but most importantly we appreciate your patience and understanding. It means the world to us and keeps us going while we navigate these obstacles. We will continue to do everything we can to fulfill your subscriptions each and every month. If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this email to get in touch with our Customer Service Team. We hope you continue to be well and stitch on! - The KnitCrate Team |
