As we welcome both a new month and a new year, let's take some time to recharge by indulging in a little Cabin Retreat. Bundle up for snowy midday hikes where bright skies bring depth to rich woodsy hues. Long winter nights have us reaching for toasty-warm handmade scarves and shawls to keep away the chill and start a new project. We embrace the peace and serenity of a cozy cabin in the woods with this month's yarns.sure to sprinkle your stitches with the tunes from the past.

yarns and colorways:

KnitCrate Knit & Crochet Club

Get ready to feel cozy with this month's featured yarn, Audine Wools Flannel, which is just as comforting as the name suggests. An insulating blend of 47% Suri, 38% Alpaca Wool, and 15% Merino, it will keep you warm from your head to your toes. This 2-ply DK yarn has enviable softness and drape that will lend class to your creations. Each 100g skein comes with 231 yards, and you will receive two matching skeins in your color vibe of choice.

This cowl features multiple styling options from a double layer around your neck to an extended drapey style. Crochet Pattern

The Oak Ridge Hooded Cowl by Natalia McHayle / Talia's Crochet Creations is inspired by retreats to a cabin during the winter surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Snuggle up with this rugged yet functional design that features the cobble stitch and an extra-cozy hood that will keep you toasty warm.

Sock Knit & Crochet Club

Get ready for your cabin retreat by making a pair of socks in this month's featured yarn, Uru.Yarn Flicker Sock. This blend of 70% Non-Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon, 10% Stellina is warm and snuggly for your next pair of footwear or whatever project this yarn is destined to become. Each 100g skein comes with 400 yards of 3-ply fingering-weight yarn, and your crate will include one skein in the color of your choice.

Knit Pattern

Nicole Bracey / Woolfield brings us the delightful Whimsy Wooded Socks. A lace pattern creates eyelet holes that form diagonal spirals around the ankle while a solid foot offers comfort and warmth. Each leg spirals in opposite directions for a fun twist and calls to mind the swirling snowflakes in a snow globe.

Crochet Pattern

The Snowy Path socks by Louise Bélair are the perfect project to warm your toes this wintry season. Featuring post stitches running up the foot just like a path through the snow, and bricks of half-double crochet between them, you're sure to enjoy every stitch just like you will enjoy wearing your new fashionable socks.
