What’s that loop for? How about those buckles? Why is it the harness of choice for most dogs around the Ruffwear office?

It’s lightweight. It’s comfortable. It has a handle and load-dispersing chest/belly panel to earn it top marks for lift-and-assist needs.

But – there’s more to the story behind why it’s the most popular harness spotted on the dogs of Ruffwear – both on and off the trail.

I CAN CLIP A LEASH THERE?

Sure, there’s the aluminum V-ring on the back. Did you know about the two reinforced webbing loops on the chest and at the rear of the back panel?

Clip into the front to help redirect and reduce pulling. Clip into the back (the “tow loop”) to encourage pulling… like when you’re running, hiking, skiing, or any kind of joring and want to feel like you have a canine turbo boost.

    YOU CAN HANDLE THE TRUTH

Yes, you most likely knew the Flagline has a handle, but do you know why we love a good handle? A boost over trail obstacles. Support for getting in and out of the car. Mobility assistance for aging or post-op recovery dogs. A quick way to keep your dog close if you’re waiting for a squirrel to cross the trail.

WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH ALL THE BUCKLES?

Four buckles mean your dog doesn’t even need to lift a paw. It opens all the way up and eliminates the need to lift, step, or pass a dog’s leg through the harness to get it on – making it particularly popular among tripod and senior dogs.
