Just when we thought spring was around the corner – we are thrown back into winter again.

Mother nature certainly knows how to tease us.  Earlier this week I was able to take the dogs for a walk wearing just a thick jumper and a pair of sneakers.  Then came the rain so I wore my wide wellies and yesterday it was so muddy and cold I had to slip into my new Country Boots … today the snow arrived.  Thank goodness my new wide width Country Boots keep my feet warm and dry.

So much weather in just one week - Thankfully I now have the perfect boots and sneakers to wear no matter what the weather throws at me.  

I’ve been trailing a pair of our manufacturing partners new range of wide calf country boots.  They are leather, all weather boots with a full tread sole and a waterproof inner lining.

I’ve been wearing Franka and have loved them.  It has made such a difference.   There are two different styles, and a number of colour combinations.  

They are a sturdy boot, fit snugly and are so comfortable to walk in.  My feet didn’t get cold or wet. The boots were covered in mud by the time I got home, but I left them to dry and then simply brushed the mud off the next morning, wiped them over with a damp sponge ready for our next outing.  Now more than ever it is important to step away from the screen and get some fresh air for an hour or so.

Like all of our boots they come in different calf widths but, have a singular calf measurement that runs from 15 ¾ up to 22 ½ inches.  The boots are not currently listed on our widewidths.com site (we are updating the site as we speak) but you are invited to contact [email protected] to determine your best fit – we want to ensure we get these beauties right for you as we know you’ve wanted some for a while now.
