This year marks Jersey's 77th Liberation anniversary from occupying forces during WWII. Come over for a long weekend and join the celebrations in person after a two-year absence due to COVID-19 restrictions. The Occupation during WWII is one of the most memorable episodes in the history of Jersey. The Channel Islands were the only territory of the British Isles that were under the German Nazi regime, and regrettably, reminders of this period can still be seen in the island's physical landscape and identity. For the majority of WWII Nazi Germany occupied the islands, from June 30th 1940 to May 9th 1945. Liberation Day has been celebrated ever since with parades, music events, and spectacular fireworks displays. Check what's on this Liberation Weekend. If you are a history buff, Jersey is a must-see destination! Fortifications built by German soldiers remain along the coast, museums & exhibitions honour this time, and historical trails await to be discovered. | | Price based on 2 people sharing a classic room on a B&B basis, and cabin luggage included. | | Price based on 2 people sharing a classic room on a B&B basis, and hold luggage included. | | Price based on 2 people sharing a double executive room on a B&B basis, and cabin luggage included. *Other departure locations and dates are available, prices may vary. | | | | | | |
