| What is Fairtrade Fortnight? | | | |
|
| For two weeks each year thousands of individuals, companies and groups across the UK come together to share the stories of the people who grow our food and make our clothing. We believe that knowledge is power and in promoting the principles of Fairtrade we are able to inform our customers on how they can make a difference through their purchases.
It has never been more important to speak up for workers’ rights, and to push for a fairer world at every point of the supply chain. The pandemic and the growing climate disaster continue to put farmers and garment workers under increasing pressure. We urge you to shop with heart and with thought, and make your voice heard.
Join us, united and campaigning for a better world, wherever you are.

| We believe fundamentally in the importance of trusted certifications. Products with the Fairtrade FLO Mark are guaranteed to meet the highest social, environmental and economic standards met throughout the whole supply chain.
The Fairtrade Cotton Mark provides traceability of the cotton from the garment back to the farmers who grew it, with the assurance that all cotton in a finished product is Fairtrade certified.

| The Fairtrade Premium is an additional sum of money that goes into a communal fund for workers and farmers to use -as they see fit -to improve their social, economic and environmental conditions. It is driving real change, right now.
It is democratically spent by farmers' co-operatives. The Fairtrade Premium income has been used to support a range of priority community projects such as providing non GM seed kits, cotton storage facilities and supporting children’s education in India.
