Dutch Army 35L DPM Day Pack

    'Great Pack'

'I cut the dividers out of this and can now use it as a good one or two night bag with sleeping kit, hoochie etc. if you're into lightweight hiking this will do you, it sits very high on the back as it was designed to sit above webbing, pouches etc. But I really like the compact toughness of it. As a bushcraft pack it's brilliant.

You can stick Dutch pouches with Alice all over it or canteen pouches etc. And there's space behind the side pouches for axe, saw, hiking poles etc. And it pretty well matches British DPM. I own larger packs - Bergaus Vulcan, NI Patrol Pack - but as i get older I'm coming back to these more compact packs, along with the old Vietnam era 'Nam' pack.

Just easier to organise your stuff in these smaller bags and easier on the knees! You just carry less rubbish.' (Peter.H)

Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback Peter, we'll be in touch soon.

    Know your military facts?

    Answer: A. American Civil War

    H. L. Hunley was made in a desperate time during the Civil War to break the Union blockade on Charleston's harbour. While testing the craft sank twice, killing all on-board (a few survived the first loss). The second time its inventor Horace Hunley was among the death tally. It was refloated again and made an attack run in 1864 on the USS Housatonic, ramming it with a 'spar torpedo' - essentially an explosive charge on the end of the pole. It worked, unfortunately it also caused the Hunely to sink a third time killing all aboard. Safe to say it was not refloated for active duty, but it was recovered in 2000 where it now sits a museum.
