We've come to the end of the fourth week of Camo World Cup '22. Here's a round up of the winners and losers from the week. | | Game 36 saw the aging NZ variant of DPM overcome the modern Aussie AMCU. Some heavy patriotism won out the day with DPM taking out the win with 63% of votes. On to QF2 to face-off the German Flecktarn. | | | Old Mimetico Deserto made it further than expected. Game 37 was to be where its run ended, with Desert MARPAT gaining a hefty 77% of votes. The arid Marine pattern then moved on to face the modern Italian Vegetato in QF3. | | | The last remaining commercial wild card entry ATACS-FG was to face its last stand in game 38. Vegetato won out in the end getting 54% of votes, a respectable run for ATACS-FG. On to QF3 for Vegetato. | | | One would expect the ever popular US Woodland to overcome most contenders. On this occasion however, the enigmatic NZ MCU won over the day with 55% of votes. Onto QF4 to meet the modern day US camo...Multicam. | | | Some of our in-house experts were picking the good looking Danish M84 to go all the way and take out the title. Multicam put an end to that fantasy by hammering M84. 63% of voters in favour of the US heavyweight. | | | DAY 15: GAMES 41 - 42 (Quarter Finals) | | The first of the Quarter Finals was a battle of Old vs New (well, newer). DPM is still a popular camo and far superior in the appropriate setting. But on this occasion, the punters preferred the MTP, winning with 58% of the votes. On to SF1. | | | Everybodys favourite camo, Flecktarn, wasn't everybodys favourite camo it appears. NZ DPMs strong run continued in QF2 by beating Flecktarn into submission with 60% of the votes. How far can this aging Kiwi camo go? | | | DAY 16: GAMES 43 - 44 (Quarter Finals) | | In QF3, there were no real surprises. The modern Italian Vegetato camo is quite nice, and was no walkover. But eventually, the strength of Desert MARPAT was too much, sweeping up 59% of the votes. It's Army v Navy (Marines) now for SF2. | | | In what was perhaps the match of the tournament so far, the plucky MCU held a lead for most of the game - adding to fears this mostly unobtainable underdog was going to steal the show. Victory for MCU was scuttled at the last hurdle, when social votes pushed Multicam ahead with an additional 29 votes or 51%. | | | For more detailed results of all these matches and a preview of next week, check out the competition page.
