Can a Mattress Really Last 32 Years? 😲
Read this letter we received from a long-time WLH customer who purchased her first natural mattress while heading off to University...
“Hello, White Lotus,
I just purchased a new mattress from you, but I wanted to tell you a little of my history with your company.
In 1989 I purchased my first bed (outside of my parent’s home), a hand-made White Lotus Futon from a store called Blue Heron in Lawrence, KS. I was attending college at the University of Kansas and this was my first bed I had purchased with my own money.
32 years later, I am still sleeping on this bed. 32 YEARS! This may make me your longest-running futon customer. The futon is still comfortable! Honestly, the only reason I am purchasing a new one is because I want a queen size and my current one is a full. That and maybe 32 years is too long to sleep on the same mattress? I don’t know, because I still love the bed!
I was thrilled to find I could buy another one of your fantastic futons. I have chemical sensitivity issues, so being able to find a fully-certified organic bed was my top priority. I am so pleased that you make these GOTS-certified organic mattresses, that this company is still going strong after all these years, and that I was able to purchase my next (and what might be my last, considering how long they last) mattress from you.
Let me be a testament to the enduring, excellent quality of your futons. Thank you for what you do. Thank you for making beds that are safe for people and the environment. And thank you for making my new bed. I so look forward to sleeping on it!
