What is a Shikibuton anyway?!

Introducing… An Ancient Tradition with a Modern Spin.

Used for centuries as an alternative for beds, this ancient tradition is regaining popularity - and for good reason. Have you heard of it?

Inspired by the Japanese way of efficiency and pragmatism, the Shikibuton is a space-saving futon mattress that can be used on the floor, then rolled up and stashed away in a closet, corner, or basement. 👍

At WLH, we call them Stows, Skinny Mat, and Shikibutons and ours are all about 3” thick. That means you’ll have a firmer sleeping surface than a normal mattress, which can be beneficial for back and neck health. 

It also means these are easy to fold up and store away, making them incredibly versatile for daily use that saves space, or as a guest bed. 

So… What’s so great about a Stow?
