The subject of organic wines is a bit confusing and miss-leading. Without interjecting all the issues that surround the concept of organic wines, there are some excellent examples in the marketplace that I have tasted over the years.
In that there is a distinctive character difference with properly made organic wines, the labeling a wine organic does not make it good nor make it expressive.
My feeling is that these wines should express the terroir and grape just as much as a conventional wine but at the same time express the brightness and freshness that comes from organic/biodynamic farming and processing.
I am very particular when tasting wines from this sector and am a firm believer in that one should not be sacrificing character or pleasure while consuming them.
Here are some of my hand-picked favorites on sale.
