I think Pinot Grigio should be light, airy, and refreshing. I do not think it is a grape that needs or wants oak. So there’s that.
Gripping acid in good examples also can give the wine some bottle age opportunity; it is all about the balance and balance is what I look for when selecting our wines.
The most prolific growing area for Pinot Grigio is the north east of Italy near and above Venice. However, the popularity of the wine has enticed wine growers all over the world to try their hand at Pinot Grigio giving world wide recognition to the grape and as a result, an incredible array of styles.
Try one or all…these are great versions.
